Hadrians Wall Tour - only £245 including bike hire
A full day riding the full length of the World Heritage Site of Hadrians Wall, from Wallsend on the East coast of England to Bowness-on-Solway on the West coast. This is a full day tour and covers 165 miles on a mix of ‘A’ roads and minor roads. To get to Segedunum on the East Coast we use the main A69 to make good progress before returning to the West Coast using the old military road and minor roads, following as closely as possible the route of the wall. Admission charges for Segedunum Roman Fort at Wallsend and to either Chesters Roman Fort or Birdoswald Roman Fort are included in the cost of the tour; so too is all fuel, light refreshments and a bar meal lunch. This tour gives you the chance to cover the entire length of the wall from coast to coast and we usually have plenty of time to stop at a number of milecastles along the way and to stop for photo opportunities - so bring your camera!

I.Hadrian's Wall was built in AD122 by order of the Emperor Hadrian
II.It took 3 legions just over 6 years to build.
III.The Wall is 73 miles (or 80 Roman miles) long and is the largest Ancient Monument in northern Europe.
IV.It spans England's peninsula between Wallsend, near Newcastle upon Tyne in the east, and Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast. Hadrian's Wall was once 15 feet high and up to 10 feet thick. Today, the surviving masonry of the Wall is only a small part of the visible archaeology.
V.Despite popular stories Hadrian's Wall was not built to keep out the Scots. Historians believe that it actually acted as a form of border or customs post so that the Romans could keep track of population flow between the north and south of Britain.
Lakes and Passes Tour - only £195 including bike hire

The beauty of this route is that it can be started almost anywhere within the Lake District; just outside of the National Park in Penrith, the tourist ‘hot spot’ of Windermere or Ambleside, Coniston, Keswick, Pooley Bridge, Coniston, Ullswater, etc. This is subject to secure vehicle parking being available for our support vehicle however - please confirm location prior to booking.
This tour provides an ideal introduction to the area, and even for those who have been here before it still offers some little known areas and of course fantastic biking. The tour can also be tailored to take in a visit to a particular visitor attraction if required, e.g. the magnificent car museum at Holker Hall, Wordsworths Dove Cottage, the James Bond Museum, Dalemain House, etc. Note : extra charges may apply.
The price includes fuel, ferry charges, refreshments and lunch but does not include admission fees to attractions.

How long is an average tour?
An average one day tour is between 120 and 150 miles (mainly A and B roads). Lake District routes combine excellent biking roads with breathtaking scenery; narrow mountain passes, sweeping lakeside roads, bustling towns and villages - it’s all there. The Hadrians Wall tour is longer, caused by the need to use a main road to get to the eastern reach of the wall. Tours will start early morning (usually between 8am and 9am) and will last until late afternoon (usually 5pm).
What’s included in the price of a typical one day Lake District guided tour?
